Workshop description: The Machine Folk Music School, sponsored by The Society for the Preservation and Promotion of Machine Folk Music, is a one-hour session introducing participants to Ai-generated folk music through practice – as if such a thing has been done for centuries. I will perform an Ai-generated folk tune, and then teach it aurally and discuss. The tune will be taught gradually by repeating small phrases and combining them to form the parts. All musical instruments are welcome, but participants should be comfortable with their instrument.
